Nestled along the tranquil shores of Banana Bay, the Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour offers a luxurious Caribbean escape that seamlessly blends modern elegance with the island's rich heritage. Mary Ellen enjoyed a girls trip at this resort with friends in a Rooftop Plunge Pool Suite, retailing over $7300 for her 3 night stay, but she paid just 105,000 points and applied a Hyatt Guest Of Honor Award which provided a room upgrade and free breakfast as well. As the first Park Hyatt resort in the Caribbean, this 126-room haven provides guests with breathtaking vistas of the neighboring sister island of Nevis.

The Park Hyatt St. Kitts offers a range of accommodations, from spacious guest rooms to opulent suites. Each room features contemporary decor, floor-to-ceiling windows (I LOVED THESE, every room has a beautiful view), and private balconies or terraces. Select suites elevate the experience with private plunge pools and sundecks (we were very impressed by the plunge pool suite's private deck - SO spacious), offering unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea and Nevis Island.

The resort's Sugar Mill Spa & Sanctuary spans 37,000 square feet, featuring nine treatment rooms, a 24-hour fitness center, and a salon. Even if you don't opt for a massage or treatment, there is a plunge pool, steam room, dry sauna and outdoor showers that make the spa worth a visit, especially when hanging out with friends.

Free ammenities at the resort include paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkel equipment, innertubes, basketball courts, large outdoor shuffle board and chess games, a family- friendly infinity pool and adults-only pool area as well. There's a pickle ball court and TopGolf Swing Suite that can be booked for an additional fee. At Island Fort by Camp Hyatt, kids can enjoy a playground, rock-climbing and arts & crafts.

People often ask if this is a family friendly resort or more of an adults-only vibe? After visiting, I think it's very appropriate for laid-back families who like to relax. It's a quiet resort, not loud and hopping like some other in the Carribean (if that's you, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar might be more your vibe). But I absolutely think I would take my family of 5 and the kids would have a blast. 3-4 days is a perfect amount, it doesn't need to be a long trip destination. If your trip is a full week, you may want to look into off-property excursions including jet skis from Reggae Beach (hello Lobster Night Fridays), the water taxi over to Nevis (cheaper from the Reggae Beach dock which is walkable from the Park Hyatt), or hiking Mount Liamuiga.
