  1. Taxis are abdundant and there are plenty of vans and SUVs, so we had no problem fitting in one vehicle as a family of 5 (and arranged a stop at the grocery store with our driver for an extra $0.50/minute...so make it Supermarket Sweep style!

  2. Food is EXPENSIVE, this is the biggest complaint people make about the Bahamas in general. Bring your own suitcase of snacks from home. On property, the Pizza Lab will be your best bet for an affordable option. Split that large pizza!

  3. When we visited, there were WAY less people on property and at the Baha Bay Waterpark during the week. We had ZERO lines during the week.

  4. It's totally OKAY to just enjoy the free amenities at the resort without paying for added excursions and experiences. My kids had more than enough to do for 5 days with no paid extras!

  5. Turtle Beach in Baha Bay was toddler paradise! I parked here with my little one while dad and the big kids went down Baha Bay slides over and over again.

  6. You can bring your own refillable water bottles and refill them at water stations at each towel hut. No need to buy bottled water at the store. The resort does provide free refillable bottles in every room, so no need to pack your own unless you just want to. Note people say the provided bottles are aluminum and not stainless steel.

  7. Incorrect Room Charges: this is a RAMPANT problem at the resort. People at restaurants and bars give their room number to make purchases and on one day of our stay we had 3 incorrect charges on our bill (I was checking nightly via the Hyatt app). I had to go to the front desk and ask that they be removed, which they were. Be diligent and take pictures of your receipt.

  8. There are short fountain shows every night that are fun to catch or view from your balcony if you're not ocean front.

  9. Don't forget to check out the flamingos! Thay have a little parade and you can even arrange to do yoga with them (for an added fee).

  10. Several restaurants onsite have kids 5 & under eating FREE including Stix and the Regatta breakfast buffet. If you don't have reservations, get to restaurants early! We had ZERO reservations the week before MLK day and had no problem eating.
